The “In Game” history of the VCW is:
In May of 2006, Scott Forman approached Alex Remis with the chance to sit on the board of directors for a new promotion; the VCW. Unfortunately Forman passed away in December of 2006 and the VCW investors pulled out. This left Alex in financial ruin. He had only 2 choices, drop the VCW project or put everything he had into it.
Originally known as the Virtual World Championship Wrestling Federation Alex wanted to disassociate the new federation form the Global Wrestling Alliance and he dropped the “World” from the title of the federation. For marketing reasons the word “Federation” is often dropped by the corporation and the name is abbreviated to VCW.
All of the promotions art work was done by Mathew Weatherston of Weatherston Studio. The administrator and game master for the VCW at its inception was Jeff Harvey. Jeff created the depth of the VCW using free web sites like www.wetpaint.com, and www.myspace.com.
